Representative Projects
Tacoma Link Operations and Maintenance Facility (OMF)
Liberty Electric delivered the full electrical and low voltage systems for the Operations and Maintenance Facility that supports Sound Transit’s Tacoma Link service. The work included both expansion areas and upgrades to the existing facility, creating a fully integrated operational environment. The project reflects Liberty’s capability in complex commercial facilities that require reliable power distribution, advanced controls, and coordinated technology systems.
- Installed all electrical distribution systems including feeders, switchboards, panelboards, grounding, raceways, and cable tray.
- Delivered complete interior and exterior lighting systems with integrated lighting controls.
- Built out the communications infrastructure including fiber optic cabling, horizontal cabling, data rooms, cabinets, racks, and related power and grounding.
- Installed all security and life safety systems including access control, CCTV, and fire alarm.
- Integrated a Building Management System (BMS) across the new and existing facility, including control interfaces, field device wiring, and full Level 1, 2, and 3 commissioning.
- Coordinated electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire/life safety interfaces to support continuous operations.
- Installed exterior electrical infrastructure including handholes, manholes, site grounding, and utility raceways.
Trolley Barn Renovation
Liberty Electric supported the renovation of the historic Trolley Barn as part of TriMet’s Moving Together Project. The work involved modernizing systems inside an existing facility while coordinating with active light rail operations and multiple other trades. The electrical scope included upgrades, demolition, new distribution installations, and support for communications, fire alarm, and safety systems across the renovated structure.
- Performed electrical demolition and removal of outdated systems.
- Installed new electrical distribution equipment, feeders, and branch circuitry.
- Provided raceways and cabling for low voltage power, communications, and system controls.
- Installed new lighting, lighting controls, devices, and interior electrical finishes.
- Supported fire alarm and detection system upgrades.
- Installed exterior site raceways, grounding, handholes, and electrical utilities.
- Performed electrification and signal work occurring concurrently outside the building.
- Executed work while maintaining safety, dust control, and uninterrupted adjacent light rail operations.
House of Spirits Distillery
Liberty Electric delivered the complete electrical, lighting, and fire alarm systems for the new House Spirits Distillery and Tasting Room. The work was based on design packages issued by Mackenzie Architects, Ferar Architects, and Osmose Architects and required close coordination across landlord and tenant scopes. The project included full power distribution, lighting systems, and integration with distillery mechanical equipment and low voltage provisions to support production and public tasting operations.
- Installed a new 1200A secondary service and full power distribution system.
- Provided the complete lighting package for both The Shed and the Tasting Room, including a change order for the final tasting room lighting design.
- Installed all lighting and power systems, grounding continuity, and electrical connections for distillery mechanical equipment.
- Provided low voltage raceways for telecom, television, and security provisions.
- Furnished and installed the complete fire alarm system.
